After a Challenging Miami Grand Prix, Daniel Ricciardo Ventures into New Territory

The Miami Grand Prix proved to be a challenging weekend for Daniel Ricciardo, as he failed to advance from Q1 and found himself starting last on the grid due to a penalty incurred from China. Despite his efforts during the race, he couldn’t clinch a points position, finishing 15th while his counterpart, Tsunoda, secured an impressive 7th place.

Adding to Ricciardo’s woes, racing pundit Richard Bradley hinted at the possibility of Red Bull replacing him with Liam Lawson at the upcoming Imola race.

However, amidst the on-track struggles, Ricciardo seems to have found solace in a new off-track endeavor. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Australian racing star has stepped into the world of entertainment as the executive producer of a new F1 comedy series titled ‘Downforce’. Teaming up with writers Alec Berg and Adam Countee, Ricciardo will lend his F1 expertise to advise on the show, which has been greenlit for a pilot on Disney’s streaming service.

Ricciardo’s leap into Hollywood mirrors that of fellow F1 champion Lewis Hamilton, who has recently delved into the film industry. Hamilton is set to produce an upcoming F1 movie alongside Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, and Damson Idris. Not only a producer, but Hamilton is also rumored to star in the film, showcasing his multifaceted talents.

Both Ricciardo and Hamilton are taking on advisory roles in their respective projects, ensuring an authentic portrayal of the adrenaline-fueled world of Formula 1. Despite the uncertainties on the track, it’s clear that these racing superstars are revving up their engines for success in Hollywood.
