Max Verstappen has addressed ongoing rumors about his Formula 1 career, expressing satisfaction with his current situation. The Red Bull driver emphasized that switching teams is not something he is considering at the moment.

Despite securing a deal to race with Red Bull Racing until 2028, Max Verstappen has found his future under scrutiny due to off-track rumors and the upcoming exit of renowned designer Adrian Newey. However, Verstappen has made it clear that his commitment to Red Bull remains firm, provided the team continues to offer the best environment and the fastest car.
Following Newey’s announcement of his departure, Verstappen reaffirmed his loyalty to Red Bull, emphasizing that his focus is on maintaining their competitive edge. At the Monaco Grand Prix, when asked about his earlier statements in light of McLaren’s impressive performance in Miami and Imola, Verstappen dismissed any thoughts of changing teams.

“It doesn’t work like that,” Verstappen stated. “We still have a very, very fast car. Looking at the season’s average, we undoubtedly have the fastest car, otherwise, we wouldn’t be leading the championship. I’m happy where I’m at. Red Bull is heavily investing in engine development through Red Bull Powertrains, and I’m satisfied with that. Our goal is to keep improving our package.”
He continued, “Thinking about switching teams every time someone else performs well is not productive. It’s not on my mind.”
Indeed, Verstappen and Red Bull have set the pace this season, with seven pole positions and five race wins out of eight Grands Prix. The Dutch driver is on a quest for his fourth consecutive drivers’ title. However, Charles Leclerc’s victory in Monaco has tightened the championship race, reducing Verstappen’s lead to 31 points and bringing Ferrari within 24 points of Red Bull in the constructors’ standings.
