The earnings from the auction of Oscar Piastri’s Ayrton Senna tribute helmet, which the Australian driver wore during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend, will be given to the organization named in the late Brazilian driver’s honor.

In a heartfelt tribute to Ayrton Senna, the McLaren team dazzled at the Monte Carlo Grand Prix with a striking one-off livery inspired by the legendary three-time world champion. Adding to the homage, Oscar Piastri sported a special helmet during Friday’s practice sessions, honoring Senna’s iconic legacy.

The weekend proved remarkable for the 23-year-old driver, who secured his best result of the season with a stunning P2 finish. Piastri’s helmet, signed and worn during the practice sessions, is now set to be auctioned to raise funds for the Instituto Ayrton Senna. This charity, established by the Senna family, is dedicated to supporting the education and development of children in Brazil.

Reflecting on the experience, Piastri shared, “Driving at Monaco with a Senna-inspired helmet was an immense honor. Senna’s legacy at this track, with his six wins, is legendary. I’m thrilled to have had a successful weekend racing in his colors and to support the transformative work of the Instituto Ayrton Senna. I hope the auction proceeds will significantly benefit this worthy cause.”

Barry Gough, CEO & Founder of F1 Authentics and Memento Exclusives, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “We are proud to support such an incredible cause through the auction of Oscar Piastri’s special helmet. This unique piece, not only a tribute to the late F1 legend, was also worn by Piastri in Monte Carlo. It stands as a fantastic memorabilia item that will contribute to raising important funds for the charity.”

The auction of Piastri’s helmet is poised to draw significant interest, blending motorsport history with philanthropy in a meaningful way.
