MotoGP Fans Can Now Become Micro-Sponsors for as Little as €125, Enjoy VIP Perks, and Win Exclusive Experiences with the Marquez Brother

In a groundbreaking move, the Gresini team, featuring Marc and Alex Marquez, has partnered with MotoGP Guru and SPORTPASS to introduce the world’s first fan-powered sponsorship programme. This innovative initiative allows fans to purchase “micro-sponsorship packages” starting at just €125, granting them access to benefits typically reserved for corporate sponsors and VIPs.

The entry-level sponsorship packages, priced between €125 and €350, include personalized team polo shirts and season-long access to the team sponsor portal. This portal offers weekend updates, exclusive content from the team, and opportunities to join online chats with the Gresini crew. Additionally, sponsors have weekly chances to win Paddock Experiences, which encompass hospitality with the team, visits to the box, and exclusive use of paddock scooters. The ultimate fan perk is having their name featured on either Alex or Marc’s MotoGP bike during the weekend they attend. Sponsors will also receive exclusive digital passes, collectibles, invitations, and credentials.

Higher-tier sponsorship packages remove the element of chance by guaranteeing Paddock Experiences at selected races and ensuring the sponsor’s name appears on the bikes. These packages, available individually or in sets of four, are ideal for companies or families looking to experience the exclusive perks typically reserved for major corporate sponsors.

All sponsors, regardless of their level of commitment, are entered into a draw to win the Ducati Panigale V4S race-prepared training bike used by the Marquez brothers in 2024. Should the winner be unable or unwilling to use the bike, they can opt for a USD$20,000 cash prize instead.

“We have always had an incredibly loyal fan base, not just for the team but also for the many riders who have found success through our championship projects. We are thrilled to be the first team to offer fans the opportunity to become sponsors on a global scale,” said Carlo Merlini, Gresini’s marketing director. “We look forward to innovating and engaging in new and exciting ways.”

SPORTPASS CEO Jordan Fogerty added, “This is a world-first in sports. We have collaborated with Gresini Racing to bring fans even closer to the team and riders they support, leveraging the latest technology to provide secure ownership and value. We hope the SPORTPASS platform will revolutionize how teams and riders connect with fans and brand partners, enhancing fan experiences.”

MotoGP Guru, a sponsor of Gresini since 2023, also produces and publishes the official MotoGP Prediction Game, further deepening their involvement in the sport.
