Speculation has surrounded Esteban Ocon’s future with the Alpine team in recent weeks.

In a significant development, the Alpine Formula 1 team has announced that Esteban Ocon will be leaving at the end of the 2024 season. Ocon, who joined the Enstone-based team in 2020 when it was still under the Renault banner, achieved a career milestone by winning the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix with them.
Recent speculation about Ocon’s future intensified after a collision with teammate Pierre Gasly at the Monaco Grand Prix. This incident comes amid a challenging season for Alpine, which has seen the team struggle towards the back of the grid. Ocon has managed to secure only one point in the first eight races, finishing 10th in Miami.
Alpine has undergone significant organizational changes over the past year, and Ocon’s departure is the latest in a series of moves. The team has yet to announce its driver line-up for the next season.
Reflecting on his time with Alpine, Ocon shared, “Racing with this team has been a significant period of my life. I’ve been here for five years as a full-time driver, but my connection with Enstone dates back to my teenage years. We’ve shared great moments and tough times, and I’m grateful for all the memories. I will announce my plans soon, but for now, my focus is on delivering strong performances for the remainder of the season.”
Stay tuned as Alpine prepares to reveal its driver roster for the upcoming season.
