The Le Mans 24 Hours is in its 92nd running.

The 92nd running of the Le Mans 24 Hours roared to life with a gripping start, as Ferrari emerged as the early pace-setter in the Hypercar category. The #50 Ferrari, starting from fourth, wasted no time seizing the lead on the very first lap, showcasing remarkable prowess. Meanwhile, the polesitting #6 Porsche stumbled, falling to third place, while the #3 Cadillac also slipped, finding itself in fourth by the end of lap two.

Ferrari’s dominance was clear, with three of their Hypercars firmly planted in the top five. By the fourth lap, the #51 Ferrari had surged into second place, cementing a commanding presence for the Italian marque in the early stages of the race.

In the LMP2 category, the #14 AO BY TF team capitalized on their pole position, maintaining their lead from the start. Close on their heels, the #65 Panis Racing car held steady in second, while the #28 IDEC Sport car dropped to third after losing a position in the initial laps.

The LMGT3 class saw a similarly smooth start. The #70 Inception Racing car, starting from pole, retained its lead, with the #66 JMW Motorsport car and the #77 Proton Competition car trailing in second and third, respectively.

The opening 15 minutes of the race were incident-free, setting a clean and competitive tone. However, the threat of rain looms, promising to add an unpredictable twist to the legendary endurance race.

As the hours unfold, all eyes will be on Ferrari to see if they can maintain their early lead and weather the challenges ahead. The 2024 Le Mans 24 Hours is already shaping up to be a thrilling battle of speed, strategy, and endurance.
