Alpine signs a Hollywood contract with Racing Bulls to promote the Deadpool and Wolverine crossover from Marvel Studios.

Alpine is the latest Formula 1 team to land a movie deal, promoting the highly anticipated Hollywood film *Deadpool & Wolverine* with a special one-off livery for the Belgian Grand Prix. The Alpine A524 cars will feature a striking red, black, and yellow design, highlighting the main characters Deadpool and Wolverine from the Marvel movie, which coincides with the film’s global release during the race weekend.

Drivers Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly, along with their mechanics, will don race overalls in Deadpool’s signature dark red. Adding to the thematic flair, Ocon will sport Deadpool graphics on his red helmet, while Gasly will adopt Wolverine-inspired yellow and black helmet designs. This Marvel Studios collaboration is particularly fitting, as Ryan Reynolds, who portrays Deadpool, is a minority investor in the Alpine team.

The movie itself is a crossover between two popular Marvel Cinematic Universe franchises, featuring Reynolds’ Deadpool character alongside Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. Reynolds joined the Alpine team as an investor in June 2023 when Renault sold a 24% stake to the US-based investment group Otro Capital, which includes RedBird Capital Partners and Maximum Effort Investments. Maximum Effort Investments is led by Reynolds and fellow actor Rob McElhenny.

The investment group boasts a star-studded lineup, including actor Michael B. Jordan and high-profile athletes such as boxer Anthony Joshua, Liverpool FC footballer Trent Alexander-Arnold, golf star Rory McIlroy, and Super Bowl-winning quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who has been a frequent guest in the F1 paddock supporting Alpine.

Alpine’s Marvel-themed initiative comes on the heels of another Hollywood collaboration in the F1 world. Earlier this month, Red Bull Racing announced a deal with Warner Bros. Pictures to promote their summer blockbuster *Twisters* at the British Grand Prix. During that event, drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda sported *Twisters* branding on their cars and race suits, with the film’s stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell, and Anthony Ramos attending the race as special guests.

The marketing strategy behind these collaborations aims to tap into Formula 1’s diverse and growing fan base. Alpine, known for having a youthful and balanced audience, sees this movie tie-up as a perfect fit to engage fans and enhance their racing experience. The dynamic livery changes and the presence of popular characters and actors aim to create a buzz both on and off the track.

As Alpine prepares for the Belgian Grand Prix, the excitement builds around this innovative crossover between Formula 1 and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans can look forward to a visually stunning race weekend, where the worlds of high-speed racing and superhero action collide, bringing a fresh and thrilling experience to the sport. This partnership not only celebrates the global release of *Deadpool & Wolverine* but also reinforces the synergy between entertainment and motorsports, promising more exciting collaborations in the future.
