RMC India Round 2 2026: Winners, Results & Biggest Moments

From dramatic comebacks and dominant performances to heartbreaks that changed the outcome of races, Round 2 of the 2026 MECO FMSCI Indian National Karting Championship delivered everything that makes karting one of the purest forms of motorsport.

Every racing champion begins somewhere.

Before the Formula 1 podiums, before endurance racing victories, before national titles and international success, every driver learns the fundamentals in a kart.

That is why weekends like Round 2 of the MECO FMSCI Indian National Karting Championship 2026, held under the Rotax Max Challenge (RMC India) banner, matter so much.

Over two intense days at the MIKA circuit, some of India’s brightest young talents battled through qualifying, heats, pre-finals and finals in pursuit of championship points and momentum. While some drivers dominated from the opening session, others fought back from setbacks, proving once again that karting rewards resilience as much as outright speed.

From Micro Max to Senior Max, every category produced its own story. Different heroes emerged, fortunes changed with every race and by Sunday afternoon four drivers stood on the top step of the podium after earning victories through very different journeys.

Here’s everything that happened during an unforgettable Round 2.

Micro Max: Zidaan Peaks at the Perfect Time

The Micro Max category delivered perhaps the most unpredictable storyline of the weekend.

The action began with Aarav Sureka securing pole position after edging Ayansh Patil by only two hundredths of a second. It looked like the championship battle would revolve around those two young talents.

Heat 1, however, belonged to Ayansh.

Heat 2 saw Rudrapratap Singh Shekhawat emerge victorious.

The Pre Final again swung back in Ayansh’s favour.

By Sunday morning, there was no clear favourite.

Then came the Final.

While several drivers had shown pace throughout the weekend, it was Zidaan Arshaan Anees who produced the drive that mattered most. The Peregrine Racing driver combined consistency, composure and race management to pull away from the field and claim victory by more than seven seconds.

Behind him, Rudrapratap secured second place while Ayansh completed the podium after another strong weekend.

The biggest disappointment belonged to Aarav Sureka. After starting the event from pole position and remaining competitive through every session, mechanical problems forced him into retirement during the Final.

It was a reminder of karting’s unforgiving nature. Pace alone is never enough.

1st: Zidaan Arshaan Anees (Peregrine Racing)

2nd: Rudrapratap Singh Shekhawat (Leap Frog Racing)

3rd: Ayansh Patil (MSport)

Mini Max: Arshi Gupta Delivers a Masterclass

If there was one driver who completely controlled their category from start to finish, it was Arshi Gupta.

Although she narrowly missed pole position to Shiv Neel in qualifying, it proved to be the only session she did not lead.

Once racing began, Arshi simply took over.

She won Heat 1.

She won Heat 2.

She comfortably won the Pre Final.

She then capped off the weekend with another commanding drive in the Final, crossing the finish line almost ten seconds ahead of the competition.

There were no unnecessary risks, no mistakes and no signs of pressure. Every race demonstrated why consistency often beats outright aggression over an entire race weekend.

Behind the winner, Jishnu Seralathan claimed second while Rudrapratap Singh Shekhawat recovered brilliantly from a difficult pre-final to secure the final podium position.

For Arshi Gupta, Round 2 may prove to be the weekend that defines her championship campaign.

Junior Max: Rivaan Dev Preetham Makes a Statement

Championship-winning performances rarely happen by accident.

They are built through precision, discipline and consistency.

That perfectly described Rivaan Dev Preetham’s weekend.

The MSport driver arrived with confidence and never surrendered control.

Pole position.

Heat 1 victory.

Heat 2 victory.

Pre-final victory.

Final victory.

It was a complete clean sweep.

While the battle behind him remained fiercely competitive, Rivaan consistently managed to maintain a comfortable advantage, demonstrating impressive maturity throughout the weekend.

Swarnav Das continued his strong progression to finish second overall, while Hridaan Sanadhya secured another valuable podium finish after showing excellent pace across multiple sessions.

With performances like this, Rivaan has firmly established himself as one of the leading contenders for the remainder of the season.

2nd: Swarnav Das (Peregrine Racing)

3rd: Hridaan Sanadhya (MSport)

Senior Max: Experience, Strategy and Drama

No category offered more unpredictability than Senior Max.

Unlike the junior classes, where one driver gradually established control, the senior field constantly changed hands.

Qualifying belonged to Rishon Rajeev.

Heat 1 was won by Krish Gupta.

Heat 2 went to Laksh Manish Bafna.

The pre-final was claimed by Arafath S. Sheikh.

Four different sessions.

Four different winners.

That uncertainty carried into Sunday’s final.

When everything was on the line, Krish Gupta delivered exactly when it mattered most.

His race was calm, measured, and clinical as he secured victory despite facing fierce competition throughout the weekend.

One of the biggest stories came from Kiaan Shah, who produced an outstanding recovery to finish second after qualifying well outside the leading group.

Laksh Manish Bafna rounded out the podium following another consistently strong weekend.

Senior Max once again proved why experience, racecraft, and strategy become increasingly important as drivers move up the motorsport ladder.

Best Drives of the Weekend

Arshi Gupta

A near-perfect performance. Winning every race after qualifying second demonstrated complete control throughout the weekend.

Rivaan Dev Preetham

The only driver to achieve a clean sweep by taking pole position and winning every race session in Junior Max.

Zidaan Arshaan Anees

Saved his strongest performance for the final. After mixed results during the heats, he delivered a commanding victory when championship points mattered most.

Krish Gupta

Senior Max remained unpredictable throughout the weekend, but Krish delivered under pressure to secure the biggest victory of the event.

Biggest Surprises

Aarav Sureka’s Final DNF

After securing pole position and remaining one of the fastest drivers throughout the weekend, Aarav’s retirement in the Final was one of the biggest disappointments of Round 2.

Senior Max’s Constantly Changing Leaders

Unlike the other categories, every major session produced a different winner before Krish Gupta finally emerged victorious in the Final.

Rudrapratap’s Recovery

After setbacks during the weekend, Rudrapratap fought back strongly to secure podium finishes, highlighting impressive resilience.

Kiaan Shah’s Climb Through the Field

One of the standout recovery drives came from Kiaan Shah, who converted a difficult qualifying position into second place in the Final.

Championship Picture

Although only two rounds into the season, several drivers have already established themselves as genuine title contenders.

Arshi Gupta leaves Round 2 with enormous momentum after dominating Mini Max.

Rivaan Dev Preetham has shown remarkable consistency and now appears to be the benchmark in Junior Max.

Zidaan Arshaan Anees’s victory has completely reshaped the Micro Max championship battle, while Senior Max remains the most open category heading into the next round, with multiple drivers capable of winning on any given weekend.

If Round 2 demonstrated anything, it is that consistency will be just as valuable as outright speed over the course of the championship.

The Bigger Picture

Results matter.

Trophies matter.

Championship points matter.

But weekends like this represent something even greater.

Every driver competing this weekend is building the foundations for a future in motorsport. Some will progress into Formula racing, others into GT championships or endurance competition. For many, these races are the first important steps towards professional careers.

Indian motorsport continues to grow because weekends like the MECO FMSCI Indian National Karting Championship provide young drivers with the opportunity to learn, compete, and develop against the country’s very best.

Round 2 was more than another karting event.

It was another reminder that the future of Indian motorsport is already on track.
