Mahindra Racing scored back-to-back podium finishes at the London E Prix. With this, the Indian team has clinched fourth place in the 2025 Formula E teams’ championship, beating out teams like McLaren, DS Penske and Maserati.
This comes on the back of a resurgent season that saw Mahindra return to form, becoming a consistent points-scorer. The team wraps up the 2025 season with a total of 186 points, and with Nyck de Vries scoring a pair of second-place finishes at the London finale.

Mahindra Racing fourth in teams’ championship
Heading into the London E Prix finale, Mahindra stood P6 in the standings, just one point behind McLaren. Nyck de Vries narrowly missed out on pole position, but made the most of his front row start. An aggressive strategy saw him leading Race 1 for several laps but he was eventually passed by race winner Nick Cassidy, who was using Attack Mode.
De Vries followed that up with another second-place finish in Race 2. He pulled off some key overtakes to move up to second place. He then managed his energy levels and Attack Mode activations to hold on to the position, aided by Mitch Evans’ penalty. With this, de Vries also extends his impressive record at London, having secured five podium finishes from eight starts.
On the other side of the garage, Edoardo Mortara scored a strong P6 finish in Race 1. However, an issue shortly after the start forced him to retire from Race 2. Nevertheless, Mahindra Racing secured enough points to finish fourth in the teams’ championship – exceeding its goal of finishing in the top five.
“This weekend has been an incredibly strong one for us, even beyond the race results. The car has been among the quickest in every session, and we’ve shown over one lap and the race distance that we are now among the front runners, which gives us a great platform on which to keep building,” said Mahindra Racing CEO and team principal Frederic Bertrand.
“I’m sure we will all have plenty of time to reflect and analyse what has been a long, hard-fought season over the coming months, but for now it’s important that we harness this momentum, keep setting aggressive targets and continue to come together as a group to make consistent progress.”
Formula E London: Jaguar, Cassidy score back-to-back wins
Porsche wins teams’ championship
Jaguar wrapped up the 2025 Formula E season on a high note, with four race wins in a row. Nick Cassidy ended up winning both the races at London, with his results handing Jaguar second place in the teams’ championship.
“It was the perfect race to end my time with Jaguar TCS Racing. It was the most relaxed I have felt behind the wheel of the Jaguar I‑TYPE 7 all season and we were able to dominate from the start,” said Cassidy, who earlier this month had confirmed his decision to leave Jaguar TCS Racing.
However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing for Jaguar. Poor strategy doomed polesitter Mitch Evans’ Race 1 and he finished just P10. Despite finishing second on road in Race 2, he was handed a five-second penalty for speeding under Full Course Yellow conditions, which dropped him to P5.
While Oliver Rowland had already wrapped up the drivers’ title at the Berlin E Prix, the battle in the teams’ championship was very much on, with Porsche leading ahead of Nissan. Having scored a total of 28 points, Porsche did enough to clinch that title, finishing 29 points clear of Jaguar. Nissan had to settle for third place, 49 points behind Porsche.
